COMMODORE’S CHOICE AWARD
WEST VALLEY MARINERS SCALE MEET 2013
The Judges were very impressed by the use of the new technology. The brushless motor system, and the water cooling system, and the program selection on the radio to control the cooling system. The paint and detail were flawless. She ran smooth as silk, very scale.

For the first time the long awaited formation run of the E-Boat and the S-Boat.
With Mr Bill in chase with his up dated and custom camouflaged Lindberg PT-109. Although Mr Bill’s PT is fast , it would not keep up with the E and S-Boats. The full size S-Boat did have a slight speed advantage, but was not as maneuverable.
The TEAM POWERS FLEET on this day consisted of 2 – 1/35 scale Elco PT’s, a 1/27 scale Elco PT, a 1/27th scale Higgins PT, a German E-Boat and S Boats both 1/35 scale, a 1/35th scale PBY Catalina Flying Boat, a 1/72nd scale Russian PT and a 1/700 scale Russian Aircraft Carrier. And the Navigation Course Winners were a Ski Boat (manufactured) and a Reef Racer (manufactured).
The two Lindburg PT’s were a hit, everybody just loves the paint and detail that Mr. Bill does. They show how far the Pt had changed during the war. The PT 109 (gray) an early Elco design, and the other (green camo) one of the later versions.
Here is a video of Bill running his modified Lindberg kit.
